Saying Yes, Saying No: Creating Compassionate Boundaries
Four Tuesdays with Christine King, beginning February 20, 6:30-8:30 PM
Do you sometimes say yes when you really mean no? Is it difficult to say no to those important people in your life? Honest communication means responding with the yes or no that you believe in your heart to be true in the moment, regardless of any belief that it may hurt or disappoint another. This experiential class is about realizing an honest “no” to another person is a “yes” to you, and ultimately a yes to them.
Having clear and healthy boundaries may be the most compassionate thing we can do for ourselves and others. With clear limits, we create more balance and peace in our lives and increase our mental and emotional well-being.
It helps if you have some NVC experience to join this class–Basics class or an introduction to NVC. Like all classes, it will be experiential and hands-on.
Sliding scale: $80, $120, $160
Note: As of February 1st, all classes will be held at the Resource Center for Nonviolence: 612 Ocean St. Santa Cruz, CA 95060
