Some of our biggest headaches can come from the miscommunications at work, from trying to navigate through triggers with co-workers and bosses, dealing with gnarly emails and meetings that are "a waste of time". We'll spend these three weeks applying the model and wisdom of NVC toward more effective and clear communication in our workplaces. Develop skills in asking non-threatening questions, stating your views clearly without escalating power struggles, and setting limits that work for you. This may only scratch the surface, but I'm hoping we all walk away with a path to improving our quality of life at work through communicating with more clarity, confidence, compassion and power. Kristin Masters is a CNVC certified trainer of NVC who loves grappling with real life dilemmas, supporting atmospheres that draw on empathy and honesty to consider everyone's needs. She has 25 years experience in non-profit and municipal work, has trained thousands of staff and supervisors in cross cultural communications, effective meetings, mediating conflict and team building. As a skilled facilitator, she seeks to balance needs for learning, lively engagement and meaningful application of NVC principles. |
